About the event

MACRI, Youth Do Vote, and Northwest Vista College are hosting a Civic Season event this summer!

Learn about Mexican American civil rights history and civic engagement over a pizza party and Mexican American civil rights-themed lotería. Prizes will be awarded!

This event will take place on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Northwest Vista College’s Live Oak Hall Room 106. Visitor parking is available at the Wine Cup parking lot.

Civic Season is a new tradition for self-discovery and civic upskilling, co-created by Gen Z and cultural institutions. Civic Season is the flagship program from Made By Us, a network of hundreds of museums, historic sites, libraries, and archives unleashing access to history for younger generations (ages 18-30) who have the most at stake. Learn more about Civic Season at https://www.thecivicseason.com

MACRI's programs are funded in part by the City of San Antonio Department of Arts & Culture, Bexar County, the Mellon Foundation, the John L. Santikos Charitable Foundation Fund of the San Antonio Area Foundation, Wells Fargo, and individual donors like you!
