Raza Cósmica, San Antonio’s annual showcase of sci-fi and speculative films by Latinx and BIPOC filmmakers, returns October 9-11, 2025! Raza Cósmica is presented by MonteVideo (MonteVideo210.org) and is sponsored by the Mexican American Civil Rights Institute (MACRI) and American Indians in Texas at the Spanish Colonial Missions (AIT-SCM).
Raza Cósmica closes on Saturday, October 11, 2025, with Xicanx Versus Aliens at Central Library featuring a curated selection of cosmic-infused short films including MisTik by Dr. Jules Arita Koostachin. Shorts will be preceded by a live edition of the Xicanx Versus Aliens podcast hosted by Joaquín Muerte with San Antonio artist Amalia Ortiz and Occulto! editor Rodrigo Rendon. Fresh popcorn for this screening provided by the Latino Collection and Resource Center!
