Join us for a VIRTUAL MACRI Talk with archivist and curator Mikaela Selley to learn about President John F. Kennedy's historic 1963 visit with LULAC in Houston, recognized as the first time a US president acknowledged Latinos as a significant voting bloc. Our guest is Mikaela Selley, an archivist, curator, and cultural heritage project consultant based in Houston who recently curated an exhibition on the anniversary of President Kennedy’s historic visit with LULAC at the Houston Heritage Society. The exhibit is on view now through January 15, 2024.
