About the event

Join us for a presentation from Dr. Ana Martinez-Catsam on the history of epidemics impacting Mexican Americans, from the Spanish Flu to COVID-19.

Dr. Ana Martinez-Catsam is Professor, Department Chair, and Graduate Program Head of the Department of History at the University of Texas Permian Basin in Odessa, Texas. She specializes in the history of the Gilded Age and Progressive Era in Texas with an emphasis on epidemics, newspapers, and the Mexican American experience.
